Catholic New Year's Resolutions

1)     Go to Mass once more day then you do already (like Sunday and Monday and not just Sunday)

2)     Pray the rosary every day (maybe on your way from work or going to school instead of listening to music on your iPod)

3)     Read the readings from the daily Mass while not at Mass, maybe download them onto your phone, even if you cannot get to mass that day you can pray for that the World Made Flesh blesses you in the reading.

God is Good - Blog Update

As many of you know back in late October a man came into the church, and after violating the sanctuary by searching for something to steal he found a number of things.

Including a Roman Missal, and 2 Guitars.  One Guitar was a personal gift from Anne, our Director of Music by her Dad almost 30 years ago when she started working in Ministry at her home parish.

Update on my Fasting, From Father Gannon

December 3, 2018

As most of you know I started a journey on the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows (Sept 15).  It was a Fasting and Prayer journey.

It was, and still is, a powerful experience.  Sure, I have fasted before, in Lent, on retreats, on Ash Wed.  But never really like this.

I wanted to share a few things.

From Gilbert Rodriguez, our Youth Minister

When I was 13 years old, I was introduced to something that would change my life forever. People who were passionate of Christ (who I thought were crazy) invited me to my parish youth group. I didn’t know what to expect. But my curiosity got the best of me and there was no turning back.

Mission trip to Haiti

One of our Young Catholic Adults, Venessa Exil, has said yes to going on a Mission trip to Haiti in January.  She is going to help the Friars and Sisters of the Renewal and Friar Suppliers (a Franciscan Order) to build medical buildings, and housing for the poor.

As part of the project, and as a way to support her yes, she needs to raise money that will be used by the Friar’s down in Haiti to buy material for the project.
