Baptism

Arrangements can be made by calling the office at (718) 468-6565 during office hours.  

In English:  Instructions are given on the second and third Sunday of the month beginning with the 11:30am Mass followed by instructions at 12:30pm.  Please register at least 8 weeks before the Baptism by setting up an interview appointment with Deacon Laurence McMaster at (718) 46-6565, ext 15.  Baptism is generally on the fourth Sunday of the month.

En español:  Cada dos meses el tercer domingo.  Se requiere que los padres que desean bautizar a sus hijos vengan a la misa y asistan a clases previas de preparación.  Para más información deben hablar con el Diácono Guillermo D. Gómez a Ext 35.

 

Reconciliation (Confession)

Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 4:00pm to 4:45pm, on weekdays after 9am Mass, and by appointment at other times by calling Ext. 25.

 

First Holy Communion

Children are prepared to receive the sacraments of initiation through our Religion Education program.  Please contact Mrs. Carmen Macchio, Director of Religious Education at (718) 468-6565, ext. 22, for more information.

Adults who need to receive the Sacrament of First Communion should contact Fr. Josephjude Gannon.

 

Confirmation

Children in primary or secondary public schools should contact Mrs. Carmen Macchio, Director of Religious Education at (718) 468-6565, Ext 22, to register for religious instruction for the sacrament of Confirmation.

Adults who need the sacrament of Confirmation should contact Fr. Josephjude Gannon.

 

Matrimony

Church wedding arrangements should be made before Reception plans are finalized so that the date will be available at the Church.  Please make arrangements at least six months to one year in advance.  More information is available online at www.pre-cana.org.

 

Holy Orders

The privilege of serving God's people as a priest, permanent deacon, religious sister or brother is personally fulfilling and spiritually exciting.  Anyone who feels they might be interested in the priesthood, diaconate or religious life should speak to Father Gannon.

 

Anointing of the Sick

Anointing is encouraged for the sick, elderly and homebound.  Urgent calls at any time of day or night.  We ask that arrangements for the reception of Holy Communion for shut-ins be made by calling the office during business hours. 

Please inform us of any parishioner who has been admitted to a hospital or nursing home.
